Buttons dont' respond

Office Word 2007

The minimize/maximize buttons on the top right corner and the close buttons
dont' respond to any form of clicking. Once i click upon it, it doesn't
respond and it just lags a bit until i minimize it. Does anyone else have
this issue using Microsoft Office 2007?
