buttons on forms

Macrobuttons seem tricky to trigger - double click can be
too slow. Is it possible to 'hold the focus' unless the
user clicks elsewhere of course?

Command buttons look good and should be easy for the user -
they work on the template. They work from a 'new
document' using the template but if I save a 'blank form'
document on the desktop the command button won't work?????
Why not?

Creating a button on the toolbar is another option - but
is it possible to have an image only button?

Thanks, Laurie

Hi Laurie,
Based on what you've stated I'm not certain why the code doesn't fire. I
tested in a new template and the button works fine in a new document based
on the template.

Yes it is possible to configure a button on the toolbar to display only a
picture.
1. Click on View -> Toolbar -> Customize.
2. Right click on your button and choose Change Button Image to select an
image or Edit image to either edit an image or make your own.

Thanks Harold - I think my problem relates specifically to
Win98

The button works fine with a document based on my template
but when saved to the desktop (to make available for easy
repetitive use) fails to be able to use the button...
