I (my boss) would like some way for the employees here at work to be able to
use project on sharepoint. At the moment, we can upload files to the portal,
but we're starting to use resource pools and I was wondering if project
server 2002 would be able to use pools and workspaces over multiple users,
and possibly on sharepoint.

Hi Tony,
Do you mean 2002 or 2007? Project Server 2007 with the Project Pro 2007
client will share a resource pool of many 100's - 1000's of resources. It
uses WSS3.0 for document, risk and issue management (amongst other things).

Another, less costly option is to share a resource pool via Project
standard, but this is really for a small workgroup scenario, and the process
hasn't changed for several versions. Note that this 2nd soln is not a
scalable soln, but is workable for circa 10 resource, shared across 3-4
projects.

well, we're only sharing info over 4-5 PCs, but since we were going to use
this for more than a few jobs at a time, and we intend to track our tools by
serial number, we're gonna need more than 10 resources, so we might end up
getting it. Is that 10 resource thing a cap that the program has?
