Buying from eBay

I downloaded the Trial of OneNote and I love it! I plan on buying it
once the trial period of 2 months is over. The retail price of $99 is
a bit steep for me, so I looked for it at eBay.

Many of the vendors are selling it with the box end ripped off because
of a Rebate offer. Does this affect registering with the Product Key#
on the CD? I'm curious.

This is just one of my concerns with buying from eBay. I'll probably
just end up paying the Retail price.

There are a lot of other sources beside Ebay:
http://www.google.com/froogle?q=OneNote . I would only go with a valid
(read stable) source. That's not to say Ebay is a bad source, but know the
vender first.

Hi Ima:

I purchased my OneNote on eBay about 4 months ago for a mere $49... same
box you see at MicroCenter.

You should also checkout its cheaper non-Microsoft competitor called
GoBinder... it retails for $49. The GoBinder 2005 rocks- it includes a
printer driver to use to send stuff to it for markup, s.a. from MS Word
without using XML.
