Bypassing Microsoft Project Server with the PDS

Okay, I hate Microsoft Project Server's wacky interface. I notice that
the PDS enables me to execute queries on the project data. Does it
also enable me to bypass Project Server's front end altogether if I
want? In other words, can I write my own front end to Project Server
utilizing not only Project data queries, but Project Data updates? Can
this be done with the PDS API, or does one have to extend the PDS API?

I know for a fact that Microsoft Project doesn't like it at *all* if
you try to manipulate the database directly.

I don't think that the PDS is robust enough to do the far reaching things
you're talking about. If you really feel that way about the interface, it
may be the wrong tool for you. I'd give it to the next release, though, as
you'll see an enormous change here.
