PowerPoint 2003. Windows XP in a domain environment.
I am using PowerPoint as a standard for many users. I need to set some
registry settings for ending on a black slide, right mouse click and
security as well as installing an add-in for everyone. Here is my
issue:
I can write to the registry in HKCU or HKLM under software\microsoft
\office 11\PowerPoint\Options, and these work great if you are the same
user next time you log on. I can setup the add-in with no trouble.
They do not propogate to other users. These computers are being used as
workstations for similar purposes and other users can log on these
machines at any time.
2 questions: 1). How do I write to the registry to save for every
user? Will it require a group policy? I've tried .default also with no
luck. 2). When a new user logs on, how do I bypass the welcome to
PowerPoint screen with initials, etc? AND allow all settings to be set
for this new user?
I have tried everything I can think of and obviously, I am looking in
the wrong spot. How do I manipulate new users in office?
Thank you in advance.
