C# Code Generation

Jason

This may be a very obvious thing to do that I'm just not seeing in my Trial Copy of Visio 2003, but does anyone know how to generate C# or VB.NET code from a UML diagram? I've looked through all of the documenation and I can't find a thing searching with 'code generation' or terms like that

Thx in advance!

Jason,

Code generation is only available using the version of Visio that comes with
Visual Studio for Enterprise Architects 2003. When Visual Studio 2003 was
released, the latest version of Visio was Visio 2002, so code generation is
based on that version of Visio. There is no code generation capabilities
using Visio 2003.

So what does this mean essentially?

I have Viso 2003 and Visual Studio .Net 2003 installed on my machine. Does this mean that I cannot create a Visio diagram and generate code from it?

Or am I missing something here?

Robin..

Correct. Only the Version of Visio called Visio for Enterprise Architects
includes the add-ons that allow code generation. Visio for Enterprise
Architects is only included in Visual Studio Enterprise Architects. That
shipped last year and includes the 2002 version of Visio Pro with extra
add-ons for code generations (among other things).

Confusing huh? Somebody should create a diagram to explain this mess.
