C:\Config.Msi\ = Error applying patch to file

While updating Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Premium

I have gotten the following errors:

Error 1328. Error applying patch to file
C:\Config.Msi\PT93.tmp. It has probably been updated
by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch.
For more information contact your Patch Vendor.

Also to:
Error 1328. Error applying patch to file
C:\Config.Msi\PT19B.tmp.

Error 1328. Error applying patch to file
C:\Config.Msi\PT164.tmp.

*My biggest concern is I have a series of LARGE websites
on this hard drive and do NOT want to loose them or even a part of them. In
the past I have contacted MSN, they have had me do different things and I
usually loose part of the websites... this time I need a "true real pro".

Hi L.J.,

You can get this error if you have an outdated
copy of the MS Installer (MSIExec.exe) file on the
PC or if you're using a non-retail edition
of MS Office 2000.

You can also get it in one of several other scenarios,
such as this one.

However, you should, for safety, be backing up your disk
drive on a regular basis, especially anytime you're trying
to update software as sometimes things can go wrong.
