*cab compressed files

I recently downloaded Office templates for Excel, which
came in a *.cab format. I'm still using Win98. Can anyone
direct me to the utlity / patch that will enable me to
unzip these files? WinZip doesn't recognize this format.

Hi

Windows 98 se did have a native cab file viewer if you right clicked the
file from explorer and selected View from the pop up menu. It can be
disabled if the supporting dll is overwritten. There are also lots of free
winzip like programs like Ultimate zip or Quick zip that do unzip cab files.
I have never tried quick zip, but it is freeware and is available at
www.Freewarearena.com .
