We have a mailbox created for a function "regs" that several users access.
In the past, they have logged onto their workstation as "regs" to access the
regs mailbox. They are now set up to access the regs mailbox from their
Outlook accounts BUT... a cabinet with many, many folders was created and
permissions were given to individual users, not a group. Over time, users
have come and gone and when a folder is created, it inherits perms from it's
parent. As perms are changed on the parent (add or delete users), the
changes are NOT reflected in the existing sub-folders.
1.) When I try to add permissions to the regs cabinet, the only groups I see
are groups with an email address. Must this security group have an email
address?
2.) Once I give this group perms to the cabinet, is there any way to reset
the perms on the hundreds of existing cabinet subfolders automatically?
