Cache Mode and Cache Sizes

We run our Outlook 2003 clients in cache mode. We also use an email
archiving tool that will archive any emails over 60 days and replace the
email with a small stub.

We have some users with very large mailboxes (over 25 gig) and a large
portion of their data is archived.

We are planning on pushing the archives back into outlook/exchange which
will really increase the size of the local cache files for our end users.

The question
Are there any limits to the size of these .ost files. Any gotchas with very
large osts???

Do they all need this as active data on their desktop? If not in Tools->
Options-> tab Mail Format-> button Send/Receive-> Edit... you can set what
folders to sync.

The initial sync of a folder that large could really end up in being a big
performance hog on the Exchange server.
