Cache?

I am currently using OneNote 2003 on XP SP2

In a four day class, I have taken around 50 pages of notes...each day
saving it to my thumb drive.

Well, today, after class - my laptop went into sleep mode and I could
not wake it up...it was idol, but sat a black screen. My only option
was to cut the power and reboot (OneNote was still open)

Once back up, I pulled OneNote back up and noticed I lost about 4 hrs
worth of notes. I know there is a cache, but looking in the temp
directory under application data and then in my notebook directory
there wasn't anything I could try to restore.

There has to be a file someone that was left when the PC tanked...any
suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions, because OneNote 2003 doesn't use a cache.
My description in the other thread referred to OneNote 2007.
