Cached mode; Synchronization slow/stops

I have my Outlook 2003 in cached mode. When I try to synchronize, it reaches about 80% and then stops, or goes really slow until it finishes. It used to take less than 20 seconds to synchronize. Nothing has changed. I tried taking it out of cached mode and back in. Out of the domain and back in. Even when I try this locally and not remotely it still does the same thing! Any ideas
