Calander Reminders appear even though the appointment was deleted

Hi

I am using Office 2000 (exchange 5.5) and there is a apppointment that I
have deleted from my calander, and the reminder keeps appearing even though
there is no appointment. It does not allow me to dismiss the reminder. I have
searched technet with no luck. Any suggestions would be great. I have run the
inbox repair tool, recreated his profile and reinstalled office. I think I
may have to recreate the mailbox.. however I thought I would ask here first.

Try starting Outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
