I am using Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2000 Pro machine and
am trying to share the calander. When the email is sent
from this computer with the invitation to share, it
appears to be sent in rich text. However, when the email
is received by the person with whom I wish to share, it
arrives in plain text. Thus, the "accept" and "decline"
buttons are not visable.
I found the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article -
229962 "OL2000: Troubleshooting Net Folders" and followed
the suggestions in there. I have set Outlook to send
email using rich text by default. I went into the
properties of each of the contacts and ensured that the
checkbox for "send using plain text" is not checked. I
also tried deleting the contacts and recreating them. I
also found and renamed frmcache.dat to frmcache.old and
restarted Outlook. After each change I stopped sharing
the calander and restarted sharing, thus creating new
emails. So far nothing has worked.
I have set up sharing of calanders on Windows XP machines
running Outlook 2000, and it worked without any problems.
If anyone has any ideas on what else to try, it would be
greatly appreciated.
