calculate a field in a form

Hi,
I need help with a calculated field in my access form:

i need to calculate 2 fields in a form to display a total and send the total
and data from the two fields back to the table.
netamount+shippingcost=total invoice
sounds easy, only i cant get the data to go back to the table where i need
it...
i can display it on my form, but the total invoice part does not go back to
the table..
any suggestions?

The article explains why the value should not be stored in the table, how to
achieve it with a query instead, and how to write it back to the table if
there could be a reason why the total should NOT equal the sum of the other
two.
