Calculate duration

I need to calculate the duration of a request. The start date is a today
function. The date of occupancy is a date field. I need to convert the two
dates to a integers so that the form can subtract the difference and show the
duration between the two dates. the number function doesn't seem to function
that way. In excel Date function changes the date to a number is there a
similar function infopath or can I down load date function?

There is no easy way out for this one; you will have to write code whether
you're using InfoPath 2003 or 2007.

I wrote several articles that deal with date difference calculation; you can
have a look at them:

http://enterprise-solutions.swits.n...p?t=datediff-vbscript-infopath&c=infopath2003

Since this question has been asked countless times, perhaps you can be the
first to take the time to create a suggestion for Microsoft and have other
people who also are interested in this functionality vote for your
suggestion, so that a date difference function is included in the next
version of InfoPath? The "Suggestion for Microsoft" button can be found via
this site:

Thanks!
