Calculate formula % complete in different column

Hi everybody...
Please a need your help.

I need to do a formula to calculate "% complete" according to the "State
Date".
I know that I can use "Tools/Tracing/Update project" option... but it
updates in "% complete" column, I need to update in a different column.

Please Help Me !!!!
It's very important.
