Measured in hours and minutes?

Just subtract the smaller from the larger and give it a custom format of:
[h]:mm
or
[hh]:mm

Yes in hours & minutes. How about the different dates? let say I want to
know how many hours I work from 1 dec at 11:30hrs until 5 dec 22:00hrs. The
total hours and minutes.

Thanks a lot.

I use USA dates (mdy).

I put:

12/01/2003 11:30 AM
in A1
12/05/2003 10:00 PM
in B1

and
=B1-A1
and formatted it for [hh]:mm
and got
106:30
back

(I could have entered the second date/time as:
12/05/2003 22:00
too)
