Calculate Totals

I have a database that receives scanned data from a
barcode reader that includes the part number in one field
and the quantity in another.At he beginning of the day I
have an excel sheet that contains the total quantity for
each individual part that are expected to be received in
the shipment.There may be 20 boxes with 20 parts for one
individual part,Each box contains the part number and the
quantity within the bar code.How can I calculate and
compare the individual totals against the expected grand
total on the excel sheet?Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
