calculating productivity

Hi,

I have a team of people...I have an amount of time they are using a certain
tool, as well as the amount of tasks they manage in this time. This data is
is imported into XL from a db.....and is used to calculate their
productivity.

so far so good, now comes the bit that I cant get my head around....

some of my team have a second skill, that my db cannot track effectively. I
know how much time they spend on this second task.

The data I have is:

1:Their time using the tool,
2:Their time using the tool working on their second task.
3:The amount of tasks completed in the time frame mentioned in point 1
4:their productivity goal for task 1
5:their productivity goal for task 2

is their any way I can work out their productivity for the second task with
these 5 bits of data?

Productivity is not an absolute term and can be measured
in many ways. If you were for example measuring
productivity as time per completed task you would need to
know the number of completed tasks, which you do not have
(you did not indicate that you have that information only
the total of all tasks completed) and the time spent,
which you do have.

I guess the real question is why is someone who cannot
solve a simple formula (A/B) responsible for a team of
people. Is spinningplates.com a publicly traded company?
If it is I'm going short.

Apparently not.......it seems you only have the Time spent working on the
Second task and the Productivity Goal for such, ......you need the amount of
tasks managed for the Second Task time spent.....
