Calculating Shape Position in a Word document

Hi all,

How can I get/calculate the position of a shape object in a word
document page.

I now that using the shape attributes will help, but going this way is
a very complicated and time consuming process since hundreds of
possibility exists for positions a Shape in Word document.


I appreciate any input in this subject.

The actual position on the page will depend on the printer driver - although
you can find out, as you say, the shape attributes which will tell you, for
shapes in the drawing layer, where it is relative to some other element on
the page. What makes you say this is complicated, or particularly
time-consuming? What do you want to do with the information when you get it?
