Calculating the real finish date

I have 5 tasks scheduled, each one dependant on the previous task. Each one has a duration of 5 days. When I update a succeeding task that started early with a % complete figure how do I setup project to adjust for the early start and bring in the finish date? ( I don't want to break the link) Is this possible

adjust for the early start and bring in the finish date? ( I don't
want to break the link) Is this possible

Set the Actual Start to the earlier date, then set the % complete and
then check the remaining duration field and make sure it is accurate.
