Calculation field on a main form displays Error

I have a calculation field on a main form that references the value of a
calculation field on a sub form. When the user scrolls to a new record the
calculation field on a main form displays "Error" because (I assume) there
is no value in calculation field on a sub form. Is there any way to get
ride of or hide the "Error"?
