Hello I am trying to set up a job work time sheet for time spent on specific
jobs and I want to total up my hours I tried =Sumc(iC:CH) but it says that
it wont work with empty cells how do you get it to ignore empty cells or
cells that havent had a value added yet

I'm not familiar with the "Sumc" function you refer to, but both SUM()
and SUMIF() ignore empty cells.

Perhaps you could be a bit more specific about what you've tried and
what isn't working.

Hi Russ-

As JE says, I know of no such function in Excel or any other
spreadsheet program going back to 1984. Also, your argument as
indicated in your post, (iC:CH), is unlike any valid range reference
I've ever seen. Typically the argument would read something such as
(C5:C23) or (B10:X10).

What else can you tell us?|:>)
