Calendar and DST incorrect for March

H

I have tried everything mentioned and nothing works. I just did a
test with entries and ALL times come out correctly AFTER March 31,
but if I enter a time in the month of March, it is still displaying
the time one hour LATER in the calendar, but not in the original
entry.

I then entered a time in April 1 and it was correct. I don't
understand why this is happening. DST is over, my computer date and
time changed automatically correctly, I checked Entourage prefs and
the date/time and they are all correct.

This is very frustrating, as I don't want to be late or early for
appointments and now I can't remember doctor, dentist appointment and
don't know which time is correct, so have to call everyone. No one
seems to have an answer to this, so the only solution seems to be to
buy and install another calendar that will work independently of
Entourage.....sigh.

Even if another calendar *were* the only solution, let's not be
melodramatic about it.....iCal is installed on your computer already,
for free (although if you have been syncing it with Entourage, it may
not be an option--or, it might have updated for DST fine). Google has an
online Calendar thing that is free.

To both of you, please recognize that it's unlikely anyone can give
specific help without knowing your version of Entourage, version of OS,
and whether you have done the appropriate updates mentioned in the "Is
Your Mac Ready for Daylight Savings?" article that Michel linked to:

I downloaded timezones.ics from MS. Backed up my userdata, copied new
timezoness to userdata folder.
Then I had to adjust a handfull for appts. Everything back to normal.

I guess I heard that MS doesn't support Entourage for MS Office X. If
you have the Office 2004, I understand, you can get a patch. I really
didn't - don't - want to "upgrade."

The 'timezones' file referred to has been put together by users, and is not
supported by Microsoft - it is a 'workround' for Office vX, not a true fix,
but should cure all your problems for March this year.

Look at this page for all the details:
