Calendar and how best to set up groups

I'm using MSP2000. My problem is that I have more than one group of people
with their own working pattern. I can set one as the Project default but
don't know how to set up other calendars for these groups. I could change
each individuals calendar but it will be a long laborious job I'm hoping to
avoid.

Is this possible in MSP2000, or in any later versions?

Hi FP-Paul,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

Go to Tools/Change Working Time... and in the dialog, click New... to make a
copy of the Standard calendar and give it a new name. Change the working
pattern as needed. Now associate each resource with that calendar in the
Resource sheet using the pick list in the Base Calendar column. If you have
many resources, try to group them and use the Fill Down facility.
