Calendar and timeline

I am new to this program. Is it possible to take excel data which includes
dates and place it in a calendar or timeline. I need my selected data to be
within the specific day for the calendar.

You can import Excel data into a timeline diagram with Visio 2007
Professional using the new Data Link and Data Refresh features. To make
this work, your date fields must have the names "Start" and "Finish" so that
they get mapped to the correct shape data. You can rename your fields to
this either in the Excel file or in Visio's External Data Window after you
perform the data link.

Mapping data to a calendar diagram is more challenging. Your field names
must be "Start time", "End time" and "Date". Note the capitalization.
Unlike timeline, Visio does not automatically move an Appointment to the
correct location after you drop the data-linked shape on the page. The
times are correct, but you will need to manually put the shape on the right
date.
