Calendar and working time

Outlook 2003/Exchange Server

Most of my team is located in different time zones.

When scheduling meetings, I can see free/busy time for all attendees,
adjusted to my time zone; however, there is no indication of working hours.
Yes, I now I can limit my display to show my working hours.

How can I see the actual scheduled working hours of everyone else, so to
schedule a meeting when everyone is actually at work. The way it is now,
after hours time appears to be free time, and I have no idea where these
folks live.

I've resorted to blocking on my calendar, all non-working time with dummy
appointments ( 5PM to midnight, midnight to 8AM ). This, although will
work, seems foolish to have to do.

Alternatives?

outlook only shows your working hours, not the working time for others.

I understand that OL only shows MY working time. I come from a Lotus Notes
shop where the abilitye to see normally scheduled working hours of invitees
was an invaluable feature.

Isn't this a big hole in the invite scheduling process? How, in a large
enterprise environment, spanning continents, can a scheduler not take into
account that what shows as free time is not really free time - but normally
scheduled non-working time for the people invited?

yeah, it's a hole, but employees often have to make changes to their work
day when they need to work with people in other time zones. Ie, it's
difficult for someone in the PT zone to schedule appointments during
standard business hours with someone in the UK since their business hours
don't overlap - either the person on the west coast has to come in early or
the person in the UK has to stay late.
