calendar appointments cannot be read

lately, appointments set on the calendar and sent to clients outside of the
office
cannot be read. It's all gobbilygook. How to I fix the problem?

You can start by telling us some basic data:

what version of outlook?
when did it stop working? (ie what changed on your computer)
how are you sending the invitations?
what result are you getting?
