Calendar Appointments coming through as text

We are using Outlook 2003 on Exchange 5.5 and every now and then recieve an
external calendar appointment as just text and not as appointment request.
Can anyone shed light on this for me.

IIRC Exchange 5.5 doesn't support the iCAL format.
You could ask the sender to resend the request in TNEF format and then it
should arrive correctly.

Note that Exchange 5.5 is no longer supported. You might want to consider
upgrading that server.

Many thanks for the reply. We are shortly going to be upgrading to Exhange
2007 so this should hopefully avoid these kinds of issues.
