Calendar appointments not appearing on the calendar

When I create an appointment on my calendar, it will show in the To Do bar as
an upcoming appointment, but it does not show on the calendar itself. It
will also show on my today screen on the correct day and time, but nothing
shows on the appointment. When I sync my calendar with my Google calendar,
my google calendar shows fine, but not outlook.

I am using Outlook 2007
