Calendar appointments shifted by one hour

Jerry Flatto

With daylight saving times starting yesterday, I am finding my appointments
are shifted one hour later than they should be.

Doing a search of this newsgroup, I see some similar comments about
selecting a check box for daylight savings time but I have a slightly
different problem.

I live in Indiana which until this year did not observe daylight savings
time. As such, my computer clock and time zone was set to "Indiana". Now we
are observing DST so I set my time zone to Eastern Time Zone and selected DST
as an option. If I shift my time zone back to Indiana, the current time is
one hour earlier than it should be. If I turn off DST with Eastern Time Zone,
my clock is also one hour earlier than it should be.

Any suggestions? Or should I just manually adjust all my appointments?

As explained by Indiana resident Russ Valentine MVP - Outlook, the Indiana
mess is so fouled up that any suggestion for how to fix the appointments
will only engender frustration, outrage, and flaming alcoholism. (yeah, I
meant that flaming part!)

You are probably best served by selecting the time zone and DST settings
that work for you and then adjust the times individually for those items
with messed up times.
