Is the Calendar application available to use in Outlook Express - if so, how
do I get it?

This question is off-topic for this group, since Outlook and Outlook Express
are completely separate applications.

That said, there are many, often free, calendar applications for various
versions of Windows. Outlook Express does not and cannot have a calendar
integrated with it (since it's strictly a mail/news client), but that won't
make a calendar app for Windows any less useful. You could consider buying
a used copy of Microsoft Works or Office as well.
