Calendar Backup Restore

I have just installed a new computer and wish to copy my calendar
appointments to it. I created a backup file on the old machine
called OutlookCalebarBackup.pst but when I try to restore it on the
new machine I get a message box reading, "File access is denied. You
do not have the permission required to access the file
E:/.../OutlookCaledarBackup.pst"

If you burned it to a CD, that made it read only, so on the new machine,
right click the file in Windows Explorer (or My computer) /properties /
uncheck the read only box, and when you restore it in outlook, do a
File/open/outlook data file

You would find it easier to copy the entire pst from the old PC, with OL
closed.
Copy this to your Documents folder, In explorer check properties & ensure
read only is off (if you copied via cd)
Then in OL File>Open>Data File.......browse to this location.
Copy whatever to your origonal Personal Folders, then close the data file,
if neccessary

Thanks DL & dlw.

The file was write protected but I did not think this would stop me
restoring it but it obviously did. I copied the file from the CD to
my memstick and had no trouble from there.
