Calendar can't function due to "already in use by max. number of applications"??

I am getting that pop-up message in the Outlook Calendar (I have XP) when there are no other applications open on my laptop. I have to close Outlook and re-open to make the calendar function, until it locks up again!! Any ideas for a fix out there?? I have already been to the Microsoft Office site and downloaded all updates and fixes today....Kevin

What is the exact error message? Is it coming from Outlook (look at the
message window title)? The fragment you mentioned doesn't ring a bell.
