Calendar Display Button on Tool Bar

I often need to reference a calendar during my task creation as I get
furtner into building a project plan. The calendar view on the task "Start"
and "Finish" fields do not allow me to view a calendar as I move through the
project creating tasks.

It would be nice to have a calendar button on the tool bar that would launch
a mini calendar window so that I could refer to it as I'm planning my
activities. I often end up printing a copy of the project plan so that I
can see the impact of my concurrent activities. I then have to do my own
editing and data enter the dates into the project plan. It would be more
efficient if there was a built in calendar tool on the tool bar.

I wonder if you could just double click on the clock in the lower right
corner of the screen. Seems like that would help to me. We have accounting
calendars pasted on the walls of our offices that provide much more useful
information - month end dates, pay dates, holidays...

Hi TimelineTrish,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

A word of warning. You should not be entering dates. Project is designed
for you to enter Tasks, Durations and Precedence links, so that Project can
calculate the schedule for you as id was designed to do.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
