This isn't a problem we've seen before, as far as I can tell, and the error
message is a general one, so I can't say for sure what is going on. However,
there are two approaches that I would try to this sort of problem:
Have one of the users create a new workspace, add the Calendar tool to that,
and click New Appointment. If the user can successfully add an appointment in
the new workspace, the problem may be caused by corruption in the workspace
record of the old workspace. If the workspace has other members, this is
usually easy to fix. Have the member with the problem delete their local copy
of the workspace (select Delete and then click From This Computer), shut down
and restart Groove, and then get reinvited to the workspace.
If they see the same problem in the new workspace, it is possible that the
version interaction is causing a problem that we haven't seen before. It's
not likely, because we have a fair number of customers using the Office
2003/Groove 2007 combination. However, if if comes to that, I'd look at Add
or Remove Programs on each computer and check the installation date of
Microsoft Office programs, including any other standalone installations. For
example, if you installed Microsoft Office Live Meeting, note that. If Groove
was not the latest thing installed, run Repair on the Groove installation.
I hope this helps!
