Why in Microsoft Outlook has my Calendar listing picked
up a (3) after the word Calendar?

What version of Outlook are you using?

It sounds like you have 3 unopened calendar entries and the
Outlook Bar is showing you a (3) to let you know.

You need to change the VIEW to "By Category"
to see the BOLDED items. Of course this will only work
if you have READ or OPENED the other items in the calendar.

Open the calendar
Select VIEW on the menu
Select CURRENT VIEW
Select BY CATEGORY
