Calendar - Microsoft Works 2000

Hi there

I run windows xp and Microsoft works 2000. Today, (after several years use)
when I click to open the calendar a message appears saying "Works cannot
access one or more files it needs ... the files may have been renamed,
deleted or moved ... try reinstaling the Works and then reopen the programe"

My question is first How can I regain access to my existing appointments!!!
I really need them. How can I fix this problem. Tried to repair the works
using the CDs but did not work. Please Help.
