Calendar Printing Assistant Crashing on Me

U

I have been having a problem with the Calendar Printing Assistant
(12.0.6212.1000, MSO 12.0.6320.5000) for a while now and cannot seem to find
a solution for it.

My problem is that most of the time if I try to print a calendar other than
the main one using one of the Week, Month or Year templates, I cannot. The
instant I try to add the calendar CPA Crashes and I get the following
message: “Calendar Printing Assistant has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.†The interesting thing is that
is not the case for the Day Templates. Plus, on rare occasions, I have been
able to actually get it to work with a month template, but there is no rhyme
or reason as to why.
Any suggestions as to what I can do? I really would like to be able to
print a month calendar because it is a much better layout than what Outlook
prints.

Other information that might be needed: In Outlook, I have 5 different
calendars which I use. My outlook.pst file is saved in a different location
other than the C:\Documents and Settings\[user] folder for back-up purposes.
I am running Windows XP and have the CPA SP1 installed and all Microsoft
updates are installed (for Windows and Office).

This is not anything that I have heard before. Have you changed
anything in your Outlook/Office recently? Do you have Exchage
Administrator installed on this machine?

Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it yet?

In Outlook you can try (but this is not real promising):

- Open the TOOLS menu
- Select the TRUST CENTER
- Select ADD-INS
- Select MANAGE
- Select COM Add-ins, Go, tic the box.

If it isn't listed you can "Add" and navigate to and select
the "cpaoaddin.dll" in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

I would also try the "Detect and Repair" for Outlook. In
case the program has gotten hosed.

Another possible thing to try is using an Outlook
Command-Line switch to open Outlook and repair a
possibly hosed registry (because of the PST thing you
mentioned).

The ".../cleanprofile" switch is the one I am thinking of. It
removes invalid profile keys and re-creates default registry
keys where applicable.

See the following link for information on how to use
this switch VERY EASY:
