Calendar Reminder Doesn't Text Message

W

Wendell

I keep getting this reply back when Outlook 2007 calendar sends an automatic
reminder text message. Outlook did not receive response from the Web service
because of a problem connecting to the server. Try again later. Is the
problem with the microsoft server or my cell phone provider. Any fixes?

It sounds like it’s the cell phone provider but it could be either.

What addin are you using? Did you configure it correctly for your service?

I am just using what comes in standard Outlook 2007. You will find it
tools>options>Preferences>mobile>notifications. It was working just fine.
Now it has quit. Any ideas?

Is your provider still supported? It looks like they dropped verizon (not
sure which others used to be supported as I use verizon and it was supported
when I tested the link) - only Nextel, Sprint PCS, West Central are listed
as supported.

It is an active add-in and I use Sprint as my service provider. Any other
ideas?

I also have a problem with Outlook not remembering my password for email
server even though the remember password box is checked. I have to log in
every time.

go to tools, email accounts, and check the properties for the sms account.
you'll need to log into the account online to check them.

Interesting....

I logged in online and found that the web page had an expired security
certificate and would not let me proceed to the next screen (from the update
mobile account information to the confirm your mobile phone screen.) It says
the certificate expired on 9/30/2008 which is the precise time my SMS quit
working. Sounds like Microsoft has a problem with their SMS system. Is
there some way to have them fix this? How do we notify MS that they need to
fix their SMS? Is IE blocking me some how from proceeding? Or is their
whole sprint PCS systemed bombed?

BTW, any help you could provide on the password issue would be appreciated
as well. You have been a tremendous blessing from God so far. Thank you so
much.

I don’t think it’s the cause - give it a couple of days though.
