Calendar Resource Free/Busy for Canceled Meetings

Hello All

I have a couple of conference room calendars setup according to the KB
article and they work correctly for regular meetings but if someone cancels a
meeting then time slot does not open up for others to use again. The
canceled meeting instantly shows up as "Canceled..meeting name" in the
calendar view. If you try to book a new meeting at the same time you get a
message "room name is already booked for the specified time. You must use
another time or find another resource."

I don't know that this ever worked but according to everything I've read the
meeting should stay on the calendar as canceled and the free busy is set to
free so it can be booked again.

Any help is appreciated.

TIA

It looks to be a by-design problem.

The free/busy update information is not being until the default 15 minute
intererval has been reached. After the delay the time can be re-booked. I
didn't do much testing to see if setting the free/busy update schedule to a
lower number speed it up or not.

For those setting up resources I highly recommend "Exchange Resource
Manager" http://www.swinc.com/products/erm/.
