Calendar Resource reservations through OWA (2003)

I've recently upgraded to Exchange 2003 from 2000. Now, in OWA the option to
make calendar appointments is there, although you can't reserve conference
rooms as a Resource. A room reserved this way does not give a confirmation
that it's been reserved, and it can be taken by someone else using Outlook.
Is there a way to fix this or, can I disable the ability to make the
reservation through OWA?
