Calendar reverting to 1970

H

Hat

User on Entourage 2008 - OS 10.5.4 - 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo -
MacBook

The clock on the system is fine - CMT, Minneapolis.
The calendar in Entourage looks fine - everything is 2008 and the time
zone in Entourage Preferences is good.

When user creates a new calendar event, the date is correct in the
Start time and End time fields.

As soon as user creates the meeting and invites attendees, the start
and end times revert back to 1970 - whether it's in October of
November 2008. Even if the user changes the dates before he sends the
meeting notice, the meeting notice arrives with the 1970 date.

I've rebuilt his data base. Nothing changed.

Has anyone seen this weirdness or does anyone have any ideas?

My next step is to rebuild his account from scratch, but I'd like to
track down a cause if I could.

Thanks!

I can reply to my own post. It appears as if user changed the date
format at the OS level to something that Entourage didn't care for.
Once he changed it back to United States, Entourage starting working
OK again.
