Hi Geoff Phillips ([email protected]),
in the newsgroups you posted:

|| How can I change the start day for a calendar to Monday (instead of
|| the default Sunday)?

This is determined only by the localization setting of the PC that is
running Publisher 2003. This setting cannot be manually changed.

I just installed the Publisher 2003 that came with my newly acquired
Office 2003 SBE. I'm having the same problem as Geoff, and have I have
tried changing the localization setting for my WinXP Pro without any
success.

Could there be something I overlooked? Or do I have to live with a
calendar staring on Sunday? I see that I'm not the only one with this
problem. Could it be that some versions are locked down so that it
doesn't help changing the localization setting of the PC? If there is
a certain procedure I have to follow to make this work I'll be happy
to try it out:)

PS: So far I have tried the following localization settings in
"Regional and Language Options":
Standards and formats: English (Australia)
Location: Australia
Standards and formats: Norwegian (Bokmal)
Location: Germany
Standards and formats: German (Germany)
Location: Germany

Thanks in advance for any help!

Geoff do yourself a favour and find a copy of Publisher 97.
I cannot understand why on earth you would want a yankee calendar in
Australia - bizarre
It only takes two minutes to create a calendar in Excel starting with any
day you want.
If you would like some calendars made in Publisher 97 I will oblige you and
e-mail them to you.
They will open perfectly in Pub 2003.

First I'm not Geoff and I don't see why I should waste my money on a
Publisher 97 when I have the latest one.

I'm located in Germany, and I believe the yankee calendar starts on
Sunday. Here in Europe, the calendars start on Monday. And that is
what I want, not a yankee calendar:)

If it was calendars that I wanted I could probably use Outlook to
print some plain calendars. For me it is more a matter of principle
now. If it is possible to change the start day of the calendars in
Publisher 97 then it should be possible in Publisher 2003, at least
with my logic. Maybe they wanted me to get the MUI package so I could
get the localized templates. Then I maybe I could change my Microsoft
Office language to Australian;-) and by doing that I'm able to get a
calendar where the week starts on Monday?

Thanks for the offer but I prefer to create my own calendar, even if I
have to edit every calendar to make them start on Monday.

Well why did you not say you were a difficult to get along with rude
religious git then I would not have bothered replying.
If you post with a "luther.vic.edu.au" address what do you expect people to
think you dummy.
Now run along and don't stop.

Publisher 2003 does not support this. We are hoping that will get implemented
in the next version of Publisher.
