Calendar time scale and spacing

Is it possible to minimize the spaces between the horizontal time so I may
see the full day on one screen? I want the flexibility of having my calendar
set up in 15 minute increments, but when I choose this option I can only see
about 7 hours at a time.

No. The screen doesn't offer any sort of zoom feature.

Increase your screen resolution. I have mine set to 1280x1024 and I can
make the Calendar window large enough to see about 10 hours with a 15 minute
time scale.
