Calendar view issue in Proj 2002 Std

Chris Ross

I am setting up a new project and trying to use the
calendar view to provide a visual representation of
concurrent task activity over the duration of the
project. For some reason when I set a tasks predecessor
setting to Start-To-Start it will not display correctly on
the calendar view. For example, if I set task A to 4 days
in duration starting on Mon, Jan 12 and I set task B to 4
days in duration with a "Start-To-Start +1 day"
predecessor relationship to task A the Gantt Chart view
correctly shows task A starting on Mon, Jan 12 and ending
on Thu, Jan 15 and task B starting on Tue, Jan 13 and
ending on Fri, Jan 16. However, the calendar view appears
to overlap these tasks visually showing task A on Mon, Jan
12 ONLY with task B showing from Tue, Jan 13 through Fri,
Jan 16. I have my tasks types set to fixed duration.
When I use "Start-to-Finish" predecessor relationships
vs. "Start-to-Start" the calendar view displays just
fine. Is this a bug with MS Project 2002 calendar view.
Can someone think of why this might be happening? Thanks
in advance!

Ensure the task filter drop down box indicates "All Tasks"
should be included. If it's not selected select it. If
it is selected, reselect the "All Tasks" value to see if
it will refresh the calendar view appropriately.

Hi Chris,

I can't reproduce this on my PC. In the Calendar view, does task A show the
Task Name and its Duration eg: A,4 days? Have you got
Tools/Options.../Calculation - calculation set to automatic?
