Calendar wizard in word 2000 gives catastrophic failure error

Whenever I try to use the Calendar wizard in Word 2000, I get this "System
error &h8000ffff - Catastrophic failure". How can I get around this and make
the wizard begin working again?

Hi Kelly

I have not experienced this error, but I have used the Calendar wizard in
Word 2000 successfully.

You could try deleting the calendar wizard. After you do that, Word will
re-install the Wizard for you when you next try to create a calendar.

To find the Wizard, close Word, then go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Templates\1033 and look for Calendar Wizard.Wiz. Just delete it. (If
you installed Office in a non-standard location, you might have to hunt
around your computer to find the file.)

Now, open Word and try to create a calendar. You may see Word re-installing
the Calendar wizard and then the Wizard will display.

If that doesn't help, try the suggestions at the following page (which, in
spite of its name, applies to generally troubling circumstances, not just
problems opening Word):

Hope this helps.

Hi Shauna. Thanks for the suggestion, but I have already tried deleting
calendar.wiz and letting office rebuild it. Same error comes up. I will look
at the link that you posted and see if that helps. It seems to be a visual
basic error of some kind. Also, is there some registry entry that may be
causing this?, and if so, where is it located?
Thanks!
Kelly
