Calendar

Hi. I have a report that shows the facilities we visit
throughout the month. There are days (Mondays, MWF),
times, times a week (1st Monday of the month, every other
Thursday).

Is there a way to create a calendar report that would show
a 5 week month (all possibilites, you know!), and
segregate the information by the correct day(s)/week.

If so, it sounds complicated given that I have virtually
no vb code report skills. Can it be done? Any
suggestions? Thanks, Steph

The best sample calendar reports I've seen (besides my own) are from
MVP Duane Hookom. You can download a sample file here:

See if studying those can get you started.

Oh, my! Any of yours you're willing to share?! Well, you
did say that reports are where it's at! I'll look at
Duane's db to get started. Thanks, Steph

Jeff,
Where would your calendar reports be if you hadn't first digested mine ;-)

I must admit that my samples were focused on showing some methodology rather
than meet some aesthetic magnifitude.

I would have lots and lots of beautiful blank pages Master!

And a perfect learning tool they are Duane!
My daily labor report one was made by specifically studying the
ship rotation report. Appointment and schduling ones were made
by studying the doctor's reports.

Hi Stephanie,

Most of the reports are heavily integrated into an existing application.
I learned everything about calendar reports from studying Duane's
work. They are a great learning tool.

A couple notes though. Getting good quality calendar reports hinges
on first having good properly normalized data. Otherwise, it will be
a long uphill battle. Second, for a monthly calendar type report that
will fit on one page, you will be limited by how much information you
can display. I have some appointments reports like this and if there
are more appoinments than can be displayed per day I have a small
text box display the number of extra appointments that could not be
seen. Just some things to think about.

The answer to your question is Yes. I have an Access calendar report where
the year and month are selectable and allows you to put specific information

Appears too much the same that I won't take the bet. I need the $20 to buy
refreshments for fishing trip later this week.
